Ajalon is found in the book of Joshua 10:12.
The Paraphrased meaning of Ajalon is:

Grace in the midst of the fire.

Ajalon was started in 1994 by Wil Henderson, Randy George and Dan Lile. In 1996 they sent a demo tape to Rick Wakeman, keyboardist of the progressive rock group Yes, and after listening he signed them to his label Hope Records.[2] The same year the band released their first album Light at the End of the Tunnel. Among their musical influences one can hear Yes, Genesis andMarillion.
It was not before 2004 that the group released their next album On the Threshold of Eternity on the label ProgRock Records, where they collaborated with Rick Wakeman, guitarist Phil Keaggy and ex-Spock's Beard frontman Neal Morse. Randy George has participated in several Neal Morse projects, one of them being his album Testimony, which was released earlier in 2004. On the Threshold of Eternity got good reviews in the prog rock scene.[3][4]
In 2009, Ajalon released their third album This Good Place. Again, a few guest musicians were brought in.

Ajalon (also spelled Aijalon or Ayalon) was a place in the lowland of Shephelah in the ancient Land of Israel, identified today as Yalo at the foot of the Bethoron pass, a Palestinian Arab village located 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) southeast of Ramla in the West Bank. Its name is Hebrew for "place of gazelles".[citation needed]
The place may have been the site of several battles between invaders and the natives. In the Tell el-Amarna letters, written during the last twelve years of Pharaoh Akhenaten and the first regnal year of Tutankhamun (14th century BCE), Adoni-zedek spoke of the destruction of the "city of Ajalon" by the invaders, and describes himself as "afflicted, greatly afflicted" by the calamities that had come on the land, urging the king of Egypt to hasten to his help.
This event may have been connected to an attack of the Amorites, before the arrival of the Israelites under Joshua. But since the valley stretches as far to the west as to a point halfway betweenSha'alvim and Latrun, the city referenced in these letters may have been any settlement in the valley.
